Mirren began her acting career with the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1967, and is one of the few performers who have achieved the Triple Crown of Acting. In 2003, she was appointed a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE) for Services to the Performing Arts. In 2013, Mirren was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame,[ and in 2014, BAFTAannounced that Mirren would be the recipient of the Academy Fellowship ALL PROCEEDS FROM THIS AUCTION GO TO THE CHARITY 'WARRINGTON BSL CHOIR' FOR DEAF AWARENESS
