Billing & Payments

How do I get a refund?

Simply send an email requesting your refund, supplying your name and i-bidder id number (if applicable) to info@simoncharles-auctioneers.co.uk or use our Contact Us page.

How much is my deposit to bid online?

The deposit to bid online £200.00 that is fully refundable plus £5.00 administration fee that is non-refundable. This allows you to bid online in any of auctions.

When does payment have to be made?

Items must be fully paid for by 10:00 the following day for our Wednesday Auctions & 15:00 the following day for our Thursday Auctions.

Why can’t I pay online?

At the moment we are currently unable to provide online payments, however this is something we are currently looking into and will have something online shortly.

Catalogues

Can I see the results of what items sold for?

Unfortunately we currently do not offer this service.

When will the catalogues be online?

As we are such a fast paced auction house, our catalogues are updated on a daily basis to try to keep you as up to date as we can.

The Wednesday catalogues are completed by 17:00 the previous day & the Thursday catalogues are complete by 14:00 the previous day.

Collections

Can I arrange for a delivery?

We can provide you with delivery prices however it is dependant on distance and availability, please contact us for more information if you require this service.

I have missed my collection time, what do I do?

If this is the case still turn up to collect your items, we will try our best to fit you in for collection.

When do I have to have collected by?

Our usual times for collections are as follows:

Wednesday Auctions
All items must be collected by 10:00 the following day of the auction.

Thursday Auctions
All Items must be collected by 15:00 the following day of the auction.

How do I find out if I have been successful on my bids?

You can find out by contacting the cash office on 0161 343 4651, and they will gladly help.

I-Bidder Customers

Does the prices of the goods/items get deducted from the £200 deposit I left online?

No, your deposit is left online so you can register again to any of our other auctions without having to re-pay the deposit.

How do I get approved to bid?

We currently have to manually approve everyone who uses the live online bidding system, so it is a first come first serve basis on approvals. If you would like to bid on items at the beginning of the auction, please make sure you register early so we can get you approved.

How do I register to bid online?

To bid online you need to have an account with i-bidder. Simply go to www.i-bidder.com, register your details for a free account with them, then go to auctions, the Simon Charles Auctioneers Auction that you would like to bid on and then register to that auction. You will then be approved by a member of our team and you will receive an email informing you when you have been approved.

How long does it take for approval?

We approve customers on i-bidder on the morning of the sale, you will receive an email informing you when you have been approved. If you want to bid on items at the start of the auction, please make sure you register early so we can make sure you are able to bid.

When we give the option online

Please make sure you understand this correctly:

When we give the option to you online, you have already won 1 lot, a screen will pop up asking how many more you would like. So if you want a total of 2 lots you put in 1 more, if you only want 1 click ’no more’ or type 0.

Who is I-Bidder?

I-bidder is the company who provide our live online auction software. For more information please go to http://www.i-bidder.com.

They have plenty of information on how to use their service to bid online.

Who takes my deposit?

Simon Charles Group Ltd take all deposits. When registering with the i-bidder online bidding, you have to enter your card details. This information is then securely passed to us so we can take your deposit to allow you bid.

Why do we keep your deposit?

We keep your deposit to allow you to re-register quickly for each of our auctions.

You can request your deposit back at any time simply by emailing this request to info@simoncharles-auctioneers.co.uk or using the contact us page. Simply provide Your name & i-bidder id with your request to allow us to quickly get this processed for you.
